Some things you can do are:

*Drink water to help hydrate your skin.

*Take a cool bath or place cool compresses on your skin

*Take acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen for pain and fever

*Use lotion to help relieve itching (cannot prevent peeling– Its part of healing process)

Hope this helps.

Be Well!

First make sure that you do not have a high fever because if it is bad enough to give you a fever you need to go to the doctor. Otherwise the best thing to do is to have someone soak a rag in vinegar and pat down your sunburn parts with it several times a day. The vinegar helps take out the burn. Then apply aloe vera to the area about a half hour after the vinegar. If you do not have anyone to pat it on you, then take a luke warm bath with about two cups of vinegar added. This will definitely bring relieve. Do this for about two days until the red has started to turn tan. Then continue with aloe vera for the next two weeks to keep it moist so that there will be less peeling and flaking. Good Luck!

Okay, there are several things that work.

1. Take a chilled cucumber (maybe more than one). Cut fairly thick pieces out and lay them on the burnt area. Yes --it will be cold-- but it works.

2. Take plain white yogurt and put it on the burnt area, allow it to soak in and then take a cool bath --not cold--.

3. Call your doctor and ask if there is a certain lotion/cream he would suggest for a bad sunburn like that.

4. Be miserable and don't do anything about it. But that's not the greatest idea.

Also, next time you go out to do something like that, take precautions and saturate yourself with sun lotion so you don't burn. Severe sunburns on the same areas over and over can result in skin cancer. Trust me, I'm 14, my grandmother had skin cancer, my nose is always getting sunburned and my dermatologist told me what the consequences are.

There's my two cents. Spend it wisely.

The best thing to do is to boil a tea bag in some water. Then take the concentrated tea and put it in the freezer until it gets really cold. Dip a rag into the tea and lay it on the burn. It will give immediate relief. The tea will draw the heat right out of the sunburn. I used to get sun poisoning really bad and that would help everytime.

I too, have fair skin. Whenever I get a bad sunburn I always put on aloe vera gel to cool it down a bit. It REALLY works. I would also try to stay out of the sun so it doesn't get worse.

First of all, Aloe Vera. Just be careful with your sunburn, don't go in the sun too much until it has gone away a little. I suggest the clear kind of aloe vera becuase it is natural and you can also use it for a ton of other things.

Aloe Vera fresh off the plant or Tannic Acid found in tea and bought at the drugstore is good for healing and the burning sensation. Cool (not cold) showers lessen the pain , but if it is really painful or blistering it is best to seek medical attention and they have prescription meds that will cool and heal best (silvadene cream I believe).

Aloe vera gel. Noxema skin cream. Vinegar. I've heard all those are good for sunburn.

Old remedies - I've heard PET milk helps.

Don't put lotion on it - it traps the heat inside and the skin keeps burning.

For the pain you should take and anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or tylenol. If you get aloe-vera gel and keep it in the refrigerator you can apply it as often as you need to. It will help you heal as well as cooling some of the fire!

If the sunburn is really bad, don't hesitate to see your doctor. Your doctor can prescribe a Silver Nitrate based medication that will keep the scaring from the blisters to a minimum.

Why do you must get a even tan in 4 days? You under no circumstances stated for what? (simply curious)Your nice wager in case you desire a rapid repair is a twig tan like mistic tan (it sprays onto your frame most likely one dose will do the trick otherwise you would rub a lotion that does the equal factor because the mistic tans) or move to a tanning center with doorways & locks. blank the tanning mattress throughly strip down for your birthday go well with (bare) & do approximately 7-10 for no less than two-three days then throughly blank the tanning mattress down once more while performed! (That is only a primary tanning no no if forgotten!!! Don't be gross!)That will have to do the trick. About four-five years in the past I went to the seaside (Nags Head/Outterbanks N.C. & was once gambling within the pool & had positioned a few sunscreen on my legs (natural white to begin)I saved splashing H20 on my shins/legs with out placing extra sunscreen on! That night time I had extreme burns like second or nearly 3rd measure burns with Blistering puss like oozing out (sorry nevertheless it was once)It harm so unhealthy that I would infrequently stand on my legs. Then I needed to force myself house approximately five hours later my boyfriend needed to maintain placing bloodless cloths on it to sooth the agony. Lesson found out the rough method. Reapply the sunscreen mostly & do not splash extra H20 for your frame & simply letting it dry! desire this is helping!

Keep your skin moist with olive oil (I hear that helps with healing the skin of burns), or petroleum jelly. You can also relieve the pain by putting aloe on the sunburn.

If it is really bad you need to go see your doc to be sure there is no severe damage that needs to be treated medically.
