And no, I don't think honey does not help acne scars... I think that's just a myth. However, it does contain mainly fructose (about 38.5 percent) and glucose (about 31.0 percent), maltose, sucrose and other complex carbohydrates, vitamin B6 , thiamin, niacin, riboflavin and pantothenic acid, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc as well as several different amino acids have been identified in honey. (Honey also contains several compounds which function as antioxidants. Known antioxidant compounds in honey are chrysin, pinobanksin, vitamin C, catalase and pinocembrin.

The health benefits of honey: "honey has been shown to be effective in increasing the populations of probiotic bacteria in the gut, which may help strengthen the immune system, improve digestion, lower cholesterol and prevent colon cancer.[10]"

Most acne scars can fade with time. If your acne scars are really serious dermabrasion or laser resurfacing can be used to treat it, but I think this is a pretty expensive alternative. You can also go to your Doctor and get their advice on what to do.

"One thing you shouldn't do to deal with acne scars is load up your face with masks or fancy lotions - these won't help and may irritate your skin further, making the scars red and even more noticeable."

I hope this helped!

EDIT:

I found another site that might be of use to you:

- Unprotected exposure to the sun causes more skin damage and delays healing, therefore wearing a good sunscreen is important.

- Using tretinoin (Retin-A, Renova, Avita) speeds up the skin's remodeling process and helps heal post-inflammatory changes.

- Appropriate formulations of Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Beta-Hydroxy Acid (BHA) that contain the correct concentrations and are at the appropriate pH also help the skin's remodeling process.

- Picking at scabs should be avoided at all costs. Scabs form to protect the healing process that is going on underneath them.

Unfortunately no good scientific studies have shown that any oral or topical antioxidant prevents or heals skin damage. As a matter of fact, Vitamin E, when applied topically(Note: topically means on the surface of the skin) to healing wounds, has been shown to cause more harm than good.

There is HEAPS more ingfo at the site, I highly recommend checking it out.
