I have a severe case of bug bites all over. I have at least 15 on each of my hips, 10 on each inner thigh, like 7 on my stomach.. Some under my knees and on my ankles. Anyone know what's causing it and how I can destroy these monsters! The bits are big and get swollen. Wide too

Gadzooks! You need to see a physician. I am not a medical professional, but it would be advisable to bathe and/or shower (making sure the bites are thoroughly clean) and apply either an antibiotic cream or ointment like "Neosporin" or calamine lotion. Before applying either of those, you may want to dab each bite with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Obviously, the thing you must avoid is infection. Even an insect bite infection can be dangerous.

Make sure it isn't part of the bed bug "invasion." That is becoming epidemic in the USA. Not healthy at all!

I dont know how to destroy them, but I've found that lemon balm (a plant in the mint family) leaves boiled into a stong tea will keep almost anything away. Deed, a common bug spray, works well too. try using hydrocortisone cream to calm the reaction and speed healing. Personally I've had great luck with salicylic acid creams too, (it kills bacteria, reduces irritation, but shouldnt be used before going into direct sun as it leaves skin prone to burning) but I don't know anyone else that uses it for that. If stuff like this doesnt work, or the bites dont clear up in a few days, then you may have scabies or bed bugs, for which you'll need to see a doctor.

Please go and see a doctor (or a dermatologist) immediately. For all you know, they might not be bug bites (unless you are aware of such bugs on your bed or room).

They could be something like scabies or some other skin infection. Don't delay.. just go to a doctor and get rid of the problem.

If they are indeed bugs, then clean up your room and use some safe disinfectant to clean your room so that the bugs don't come back. Clean your mattress/bed as well.

All the best.

I have the same problem, sometimes i scratch at my legs so badly i leave scars. I find it best to wrap your legs in a cold blanket or well something cold. And take lots of showers. Oh and here's this fun trick, just try to get your mind off of it by doing something else that shocks and confuses your body. Like jumping into a tub of ice col water. That stops the itch. But it makes you cold....

Solarcaine helps to relieve itching. But you must not NOT not use it longer than 3 days or you will get a reaction to it. Then you'll have itching again! 3 days max!

Good luck!
