You may want to increase your consumption of foods rich in vitamin C. These are foods such as citrus (orange, grapefruits, lemons, limes etc.), asparagus, avocados, beet greens, black currants, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cantaloupe, collards, dandelion greens, dulse, kale, mangoes, mustard greens, onions, papayas, green peas, sweet peppers, persimmons, pineapple, radishes, rose hips, spinach, strawberries, swiss chard, tomatoes, turnip greens, parsley, and watercress.
